Ø     Neil London, Nico and David K co-host artSalon “thepetiteopening” on Friday, March 13^th, 7pm at thedavidKspace. This distinctive evening of art, photography, music, spoken word and video celebrates the one-year anniversary of “cultural remedy” by artRx and the anticipated opening of thedavidKspace  - a boutique salon experience.

Ø     artSalon “thepetiteopening” is a multi media happening and the first in a series of cultural events held at the outré cool hair salon thedavidKspace located in Old Northwood WPB.

Ø     David K aka David Kinigson, an A-list New York City haircutter and celebrity hair stylist who counts Donna Karan and Faye Dunaway among his international clientele said, “I want to create a NYC boutique salon experience that brings excellence and iconicStyle directly to WPB.”

Ø     Hosting cultural events is nothing new for David K who originated the concept of art salon openings at his famed New York hair salon - Salon Dada. The most renowned opening at the Manhattan salon was an exclusive showing from Warhol group member Christopher Makos. Naturally the New York City hair stylist’s salon would partner with artRx and become artSalon.

Ø     With a residence at The Lounge, the moveable artRx, curated by Nico, produced the critically successful artLobby at 610 Clematis a downtown high rise. artSalon “the petite opening” showcases three talented artRx artists, Heather Tipton, Doug and Audra Milboer. 

Ø     Our featured artist, Heather Tipton, is recognized for combining soft brush work with dreamy color palettes creating a beauty and abstract fusion. The connection between Ms. Tipton and David K was instant. “I could feel the movement of my haircutting in her art,” David said. 

Ø     Co-host Neil London of AUDART, ArtTv and ictv1.com has been a long time supporter of many of the “Warhol Factory” artists and is currently editing “Famous For An Hour and Fifteen Minutes” a documentary about the post Warhol artists experience with Artist/ SuperStar, UltraViolet. ICTV1 will video the event and showcase Florida Fashion Network videos.

Ø     “thepetiteopening” is further enhanced with live music, Mix Music by “Selecteur de Paris” and a literary reading by Closer Magazine Editor Steve Ellman. 

Ø     thedavidKspace – a “loft like” salon aka (affectionately known as) thespace features elements uncommon in a South Florida hair salon - exposed brick walls, wooden rafters and a concrete floor. The furniture is custom made and state of the art designer. thespace boasts a uniquely friendly staff and inspirational library of high-end fashion and art books. 

Ø     A L’Oréal National Academy the talent at thespace is premier. Parker, a co-star of the hit Bravo television show Shear Genius heads up thespace creative team as Salon Director.
