The PALM BEACH PSST ! by Michael Alicea - Dissident Music's "THE HOUSE"

August 8th presented itself with too many options for many, but out of all the destinations floating in the aether of the nighttide, one stood high and tall above the rest: Dissident Music's The House party in suburban West Palm Beach.
If you didn't hear about of the amazing house party that night, you were either attending the Olympic ceremonies in Beijing, or buried under miles of fresh earth nearby.

The party was collectively centered around the celebration of fashion but the star was the music. Pure music. Loud, thumping, house, club, techno, and dance music pumped at levels which would make even the most hardened raver blush in a posh mansion surround replete with fountains, towering ceilings, lush landscaping, and cute guys and luscious gals galore.

Driving to the event was a chore, but once I arrived - and discovered the venue was a private home and NOT the community's clubhouse complex - I knew the night was going to be a savory treat for all the senses.
(Seriously, all you need to do is look at the pictures and you'll get the idea.) Although the fashion cavalcade was fun and entertaining, revelers could not ignore the thumping beat thundering through the halls, forcing them to gyrate and spasm with sheer energy and that's all everyone did until the party shut down in the wee hours the next morning.

The talent in attendance was astonishing for such a humble nightclubbing community like West Palm Beach. Sure, you may see a international DJ float in here and there, usually for a few hours at Bonds, or maybe Hotel, but to have a dozen, including such luminaries as Noel Sanger, Jose Mata, German Garcia, Jenn Martinello, Una Slim, Kaenow, Duncan Beats, Riot Gear, Jason Brown, Brian Shack, Christopher James - to name but a few - is practically unheard of. And, I hear this isn't a one time deal. The crew responsible for this near-legendary house party, under the direction of Kristin Patten, are planning a series of events to welcome Sanger to the area in high style throughout the Palm Beaches.

So, if you hear a rumor hinting the next party is looming, get involved and get there by hook or by crook. Hitchhike if you must, but get there. It will probably be the best damn time you'll ever have dancing your ass off to the best music and the best artists to spin it into a wonderous frenzy til dawn the following day. Or maybe even the morning after that.
