Amazing man Harley Earl. From what we can tell he single-handedly revolutionized the automobile industry. First to add color and even two toned color schemes to cars, telescoping antennas, the first computer into a car, sensors that would automatically put up the convertible top if it would start to rain and so many other inventive applications for the enjoyment of the car owner. Not least of all his accomplishment of being responsible for all auto manufactures to eventually have their own in-house design teams. Every year The Harely Earl Trophy is awarded to the winner of NASCAR's DAYTONA 500 in Daytona Florida. This February 17th is the 50th Anniversary of the Daytona 500 at which the 50th race winner will be added to this prestigious award equivalant to the Super Bowl in the NFL and the Stanley Cup in the NHL.
