D-TOURS Inc. Presents Jefferson Starship and the SUMMER OF LOVE

THE SUMMER OF LOVE
Mizner Park Amphitheater, Boca Raton, FL

The Jefferson Starship, Big Brother & The Holding Co. Quicksilver Messenger Service, David and Linda LaFlamme and The Grateful Dead's Tom T.C. Constanten hit the stage at the Mizner Park Amphitheater October 6th to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of The Summer of Love historic concert in 1967. D-TOURS Inc's Dennis Gelsomno heard about the tour and noticed that there was no Florida venue listed. He quicky contacted tour manager Miichael Gaimen and arranged to have the tour perform at the Mizner Amphiteater in Boca Raton, FL. DTOUR's Inc and SNOB Media went to work creating the posters, banners, websites and print, radio and tv campaign that announced the tour from Miami to Palm Beach and although there was tremendous excitement about the show, rains like Woodstock hit Boca more than a dozen times throughout the day hurting any chances of a full house. That said, over 1200 loyal fans came out to enjoy what was an amazing tribute to all the great bands that joined together in 1967 at the Summer of Love Festival in San Francisco. One could feel the presence of Grace Slick, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, The Grateful Dead and the original Jefferson Airplane performing as The Jefferson Starship since 1994 when original founders Paul Kanter and Marty Balin continued to perform without Grace Slick.
